Mind Design's Award-Winning Sales Center Blends Ancient Aesthetics with Contemporary Design

The design team has successfully connected traditional and modern design elements using color, creating a space that combines the ancient life interest with modern brushwork. The use of green, a color that has been significant for thousands of years in Chinese culture, and the representation of boundless mountains and rivers, are central to the design. The layout of the sales center is based on the traditional courtyard, interpreting the beauty of the modern East in a simple and elegant way. This design reflects the aspirations of modern urbanites for their residences.

The realization of the design involved the use of advanced technology and traditional craftsmanship. The porcelain screen, a key feature of the design, was created through a meticulous process of mold opening on the glaze, fine cutting, and careful arrangement. The screen achieves an effect of separation and breaking, adding an element of intrigue to the space. A large bronze pendant in the shape of a sailboat is another highlight of the design, providing a focal point for contemplation and spiritual healing.

The design team faced several challenges during the realization of the project, particularly in the firing of the porcelain screen. However, through repeated tests, they were able to achieve the desired result. The project started on October 16th, 2021, in Chengdu, Sichuan province, and was completed in six months.

The design is characterized by balanced symmetry and a play of "virtual" versus "real". The exterior of the project adopts the traditional Oriental courtyard layout, while the interior adopts a balanced and symmetrical layout. The material color and details show the elegant Oriental aesthetics. The design team has successfully transformed "technology" into "art", showcasing the implicit and elegant Oriental aesthetics.
